Just got back from a meeting with a local councillor who has just become a UKIP member, having in the past been a Lib-Dem.  He is going to announce it tomorrow night at an open council meeting. The two Labour councillors are going to be flabbergasted and horrified.

The meeting will be packed because this morning the town learnt via local radio station (to which a council document had been leaked) that Sheffield City Council decided that the local sports centre is going to be closed and demolished.

In the early 1970's the residents here raised the money to have the sports centre built. The 3 acres of land that it is built on was gifted to the people of this town by a local farmer for recreational use only.

There will be uproar and possibly even blood on the carpet.........

Can't wait. eveilgrin:

Been out in sunny Hertfordshire  eeek:   What a pleasure to see an expanse of clear blue sky  cloud9:
On the way back I'm texted with the news my mobile is now unlocked, I can change networks (now done) and although it'll be 24 hrs before my number is back with me I have 4 to 5 bars of signal strength at home  cloud9: , at reduced cost and with unlimited everything

Phoned up an old mate about the upcoming funeral ooop North; slipped easily into conversation, laughing and joking as if it was yesterday... It's been nearly 35 years  eeek:

 cloud9: cloud9:
Like the Buddhist said to the hot dog vendor...
"Make me one with everything"
