Years and years ago my uncle rescued a broken leg dog from a tip on Malta, loved him to bits it did but yes cost a fortune with all that quarantine etc.  It's not just a Mediterranean thing though, people up our road think it's a great idea to go away and just shut their cat out as he'll find food somewhere.  Hasn't been in ours for a while now we have the cyber cat door.

Driving back from Cheshire last night ran into the tailback from a mahoosive crash. Road closed in both directions (A 50). Spent two hours parked on the hard shoulder

  Oh dear, sleep catch up time for you today then.

I am awaiting the arival of daughter number two.  She is a newly qualified teacher and it is half term.  I expect her to be doing lots of sleeping I expect to be doing lots of washing.
