I love Palm Trees, not many here in Werstshire though.  I think its because I saw them first in the little black and white photos in my Dad's army albums.  The photos all had lovely scalloped edges too.  cloud9:

Did I ever tell you about my trip up the 'Old Man of Coniston' last December when I thought I was going to become deaded like? eeek:
One tiny slip on the ice and i would have been too. No crampons, no sense. VERY annoyed with myself. Angry9:
Scariest mountain walk I've ever had, and not another sheeple in sight, or even a sheep. No mobby signal either.

Don't mind saying that i actually shat myself for an hour.

Started on the west side of Windermere, headed round to the other side, then Coniston, across to the Kirkstone Pass, Grasmere, Ullswater, Keswick, Derwent Water, Whinlatter Pass and currently residing in a B & B on  farm near Bassenthwaite (complete with lambs and calves)  cloud9:
