A friend with an apartment in the village (they like in the UK) contacted us yesterday to say they had a report of a 'leak'...

So I popped in today to sort it out...

Sure enough, the place was awash with water.... A pipe had separated on the roof.... The original plumber had used the wrong joint to connect a flexible pipe to the incoming mains... luckily it wasn't their water but a neighbours who will be faced with a mahoosive water bill as the meter was spinning off its bearings....  noooo:

So I got Elvis the village plumber to come and fix it....

He fixed the first one and I asked him to also replace the one of my friend's apartment as it had the wrong joint too... he said, "is the water switched off?" and I replied, "yes, I promise"....

So he undid the connector and was deluged with 5 Bar of mains water in his face....  redface:

Wot do they like in the UK... rubschin: rubschin:

Just heard a Tornado or Euro fighter take off. cloud9:  Now listening to the rain hammering  down on canvas and the roof of the van trying to pluck up  the courage to get me kit off and have a wash.  Rain may well stop play. evil:

We are then off to Swaledale meet Michael Kusz www.graculus.co.uk

He likes some photographs we have taken of his work at a recent exhibition we went to.  He makes his 'stuff' out of old boilers and suchlike.  He may well find a use for me. rubschin:

Tis Mr C's birthday.  I am buying the pub lunch. angel1
I have always thought that the worst thing about drowning was having to call 'help!' You must look such a fool. It's put me against drowning.

Happy birthday Mr C, how unlucky that it will always be on pirate day. All those black spot cards. Hopefully though he gets a Jolly Roger.
Well, whatever, nevermind

Have a good day the C's. Parrot and rum in the basket for lunch I hope.

'Tis no day for boilers mind, strictly sail.
