No went to a real place had the same as usual .....price gone up 25%, portion sizes down ..service average ......when will they learn.......

but on a serious note they have done the "we are quieter lets put the prices up etc".......

 

AND it's only a local place ...hardly any tourists ....so even more f-ing stupid...... ......     did wonder tonight why it was so quiet ..normally busy ....

We see something similar here when a pub is struggling - though to be fair, there are some good giveaways:

Lots of blackboards outside
Lots of ads for Sky Sports on big screen
Happy hour
Etc etc

A few weeks later - boarded up with For Sale/To Let signs usually followed by morphing into Co-op/Tesco Express/Indian Restaurant!

What Mr Ghost said, we have one such place a hundred yards or so down the road.  It is sad and this pub is what anyone entering the village/town see.  Must make a great impression on people visiting for the first time.

Two meals for a tenner promotions 

Know of one such in Yapton which was closed for ages with signs saying "Kitchen undergoing refurbishment"

Duly re-opened with lots of the 'giveways' in evidence - some weeks later up go the window/door boards and security fencing.

So sad . . . .
