I am in Looe and feel like there could be a sitcom in this.

When I booked I knew that there was a music festival commencing at the weekend just as I leave. Wrong.... it starts on Friday night while I'm still here. They are currently building the stages/arena on the beach just across from where I am right now. Forklift trucks, excavators, vans and operatives scurrying left, right and centre... all under the power of headlights on the vehicles, not a single floodlight to be seen   Banghead

Musical "greats" such as Sham 69, Chas and Dave, The Damned, Seth Lakeman and The Darkness are due to appear. Apparently, The Damned are stopping here from Friday night  scared2:  Oh, and some of the guests here are German

They have been reading the VP. Three sets of floodlights tonight

Prolly buried last nights victims with the excavator like  lol:

 lol: lol: lol:

The owner of this place is ex-Royal Navy and is very proud of our naval history. All the rooms are named after people in naval history, Nelson, Bligh etc. This morning in the dining room I noticed a book open at todays date. The book is "The Navy, Day by Day" and it lists naval occasions on each day of the calender from Francis Drake's time to recent history. "On this day.... 1941, U-boat xxx destroyed.... on this day 1942, German destroyer sunk, on this day 1943, U-boat xxx sunk", complete with photographs of the said craft or those tht destroyed them. That should put them off their salami   lol:
