We want to open a Bank of Cyprus (UK) account to replace our Barclays account....

So, we take an endless amount of identification, proof of address, ID card, passport, sperm sample, etc. into our local Bank of Cyprus branch so they can confirm who we are and send it off to the UK...

This idiot photocopies the stuff but realises after we have left that the number on my passport is illegible...

...so he writes it in with a biro... facepalm:

Needless to say, Bank of Cyprus (UK) rejected it and we had to do the whole thing again today....  Banghead

My mate just did it and the whole thing was very slick...

Apply to the BoC (UK) on-line and they give you a reference number...

...take the number to your local BoC branch with your ID and they sort it all out for you...

...if the manager isn't a knob of course... ::)

My mate got all his paperwork through from BoC (UK) in a week and his debit cards a couple of days after...  :thumbsup:
