Send a calculator with the letter.

Way beyond her.

She's in a home.  Surrounded by people with more opinions and less marbles.  In just over a week a massive cheque is going into her bank account and she needs every penny to keep her in that home for longer than she is expected to live.

I fear she'll throw it all away on turnip futures.  Legally we can't stop her  scared2:

Can't you get power of attorney?  rubschin:
Got that and we've hidden the check books and the valid bank cards but that doesn't stop her signing something someone copies her bank details on.  Trouble is for 2 years now she's convinced herself the doctors have told her she only has 3 months to live so she could easily think about giving it all away.  She also thinks the home only costs £190 a week.  Times that by 5.

. . I'd explain the situation to the person running the home, they will have vested interest in pointing out the best cause of action to your mother.
They didn't believe us when we said she was less than fully with it, she is very plausible with her stories.  The home though is excellent and they now seem to be seeing the issues we've mentioned.

But she goes out at least once a week to a club.  A club that needs donations. . . .

To be fair this is only a very small risk but I don't want it to go wrong and the next month is key.  Anyway my letter was finished and my brothers think it's good.  Phew!

On the positive side the estate agents we used to sell her house have been effin brilliant and it's not often you hear that.  For just 1.5% of sale price  Thumbs:
Well, whatever, nevermind
