Mrs K (in a charming confidence in my longevity) keeps nagging me to write down how all the gubbins behind and under the TV works.  Even I don't know how it all connects together with its 4 PVRs, 3 DVD players, soundbar, sound system and interweb routing

So I just say "Don't (fuck with it)"
Well, whatever, nevermind

You take so many things for granted when you use them every day and much of the setup has been lost to the mists of time...  noooo:

The 'How to use the Minima' manual stretches to 13 pages...  lol:

facepalm:

Well, they are shipping their own motor over (leaves today I think) so the problem of the narrow gates will be all theirs...

In the original plans the gates and driveway were 7m wide (I kid you not) and we asked to have them made smaller. Unfortunately, the Project Manager (happy001) reduced the gap in the concrete wall to a 'standard' size but forgot about the steel posts that fitted inside the gap that the gates are mounted on...  noooo:

Of course, the fact that LL can't reverse doesn't help...  confused:

Where I was brung up there was an idiot that lived at #2.  He bought himself an ancient jaguar which he regularly proceeded to knock chunks off the brick walls either side of his drive as he swung in.  One day he realised he hadn't hit them for a while so he had them rebuilt.  But this meant the opening was back to its original size so the very next day he swung in and demolished them again.

Well, whatever, nevermind

Unfortunately the story ends badly.

The whole family were the laughing stock of the area - they also used to let their youngest stand on top of the television right up to the point he fell off one way and the TV went the other way through their front window.  Their eldest used to hang around with us but as he wasn't the brightest we of course often took the mick out of him.  Not long after I left the road he killed himself.  Some things stay with you.

Well, whatever, nevermind
