What next workwise?
Same job, different company. Bit of a gamble but I think, on the balance of probability, a safer bet with better prospects. "Old" company was asking for volunteers to take 2-6 weeks unpaid leave due to the reduced winter schedule of Thomas Cook and the cancellation (for 3+ months) of the Ryanair Belfast route - 4 flights per day. Never a good sign. What if no volunteers? They tried to assuage my concerns by saying "We've got the Finnair contract starting in December!" I told them that a twice weekly service to Lapland for 4 months of Santa flights was hardly going to keep the lights burning. The manager concerned was unaware of the fact it was only twice weekly
"But we've also got Cobalt Air!" 6 times weekly to Larnaca. Again, hardly a hefty haul of handling.
Time will tell.
