Spain this morning:

Stunning cities
Astounding landscape
Charming, courteous people
Fabulous food at very reasonable prices
Relaxed lifestyle
Well-behaved children
Smooth and empty roads
High speed trains everywhere
No potholes even in the snowy mountains
No traffic cones

England this afternoon:

Birmingham  sick2:
Shit weather
Traffic jams
Non roadworks almost all the way back. Miles of cones and nothing happening
High prices
News on the radio of collapse of East Coast rail franchise again
Idiots everywhere

It is like coming into a Thirld World country  noooo: noooo:

I am desperately trying not to stab someone that the builder has arranged to come on site to fix something.  Someone he'd used here before and we'd gone out of our way and nearly £2k extra expense not to have here ever again.  And he's still as sneeringly obnoxious as before and the bastard turns up a day early and it's apparently all our fault he hadn't got a clue what actually needed doing.  Meantime the builder is on a beach in Italy

 Banghead

Well, whatever, nevermind

Was up early, dropped the dog at the hairdressers at 9, then to Lidl (collapso required), collected dog and have just walked down to the post office and back...

officially knackered.

I'm the same. I've had enough of Doctors and hospitals so I don't go near them anymore. They'll only find something new.
