Oh and I jumped riskily on a tram for one stop with no ticket and was stopped by an Inspector.  £50  redface:

Get another quote.  If you'd still been down south I'd introduce you to Kemps.  They do great work at about half the price of main garages.  They keep my brother's Corvette running beautifully.  There must be a good equivalent local to you
