Installing smart light bulbs...  redface:
Are they worth it?  Keep getting emails about such but at heart I can't be arsed with all the faff

They are quite cool and on offer at Amazon... Can link to Google Home and make 'scenes'... "Hey google, switch on TV" and the lights come on or off, dim, etc.
Just looked https://www.amazon.co.uk/s?k=smart+bulbs&crid=78YGLCUHTR5I&sprefix=smart+bulbs%2Caps%2C475&ref=nb_sb_ss_i_1_11

My thought:  not even at half that price

I got some of these, I'm impressed...

On their own, it is no great deal to turn the light on and off from your phone... Linked with Google it can be very clever... switch the lights on and sunset and off at sunrise if you are away, or say 'hey google we're going out' and it sets the lights and plays the radio or whatever...
Ta, TP-Link's a good brand

Unfortunately they don't do any that fit my light fittings (mainly GU-10s) otherwise would have got one
Well, whatever, nevermind

Can't you just get the butler to turn them on and off, like normal people?
