Nope  scared2:

Haven't seen any yet and we flew Sydney to Queensland (Hervey Bay) yesterday.  Today is supposed to be the worst day for them with wind, heat and (no) humidity

Port Macquarie (google it) is where we're going on Sunday and that could be interesting if the fires are still bad


Today's disaster:  we arrived yesterday to this wonderful appartment (NOT Air BnB) bought supplies and threw relevant items in the fridge

except we threw them in the freezer section which in true Oz style is the wrong location.  At least one can of Coke has exploded all over the inside of said freezer and no milk for important brekkie stuff  Banghead

Luckily didn't buy any beer

Well it would be a crime to freeze beer and then have to clear it off the inside of a freezer

So today we looked at the options of things to do locally (apart from Fraser Island tours wot we are doing tomorrow) they seem to be go swimming and get eaten by sharks, go fishing (not what we do and if we did we'd fall in and get eaten by sharks) or go see Fraser Island for another day.

So I notice that just 70km away is Bundaberg famed for it's rum so we went there for the rather brilliant distillery tour and generous sampling but turns out that 70k translates into 135k by road so 4 hours travel in total  Banghead.  But it twas fun and we got to see a wild kangaroo on route
