Ah, they've 'temporarily' fixed the problem by ignoring the leak and switching the water back on...  ::)

Consequently, there is now a river running past the apartment....  lol:

I take it they don't do proper dropped crossings to allow cars on to the driveways there  Banghead

No...  lol: lol: lol:

We had a major water leak just up the road yesterday morning so mains water has been off since then (and no sign of Nicos the Plumber)...

Strangely, the expats haven't been going mental over it as they normally would - I reckon everybody has been beaten into low expectations by 2020...  lol:

A lot of people have bought boats this year as they cannot go on the holidays they want. None have set foot on a boat before and are clueless.  The regulars are all pissed by noon  noooo:

One guy today was bragging he had got a new boat off Fleabay. £311!!  Why. It had sunk and was at the bottom of the River Weaver. He had it raised (£1000) "fixed" the engine, jetwashed it and repaired all the electrics  ("I know about these things) .

It broke down in the lock  noooo:

I flushed him out by opening  the sluices and sent him careering down the river  eveilgrin:
