The universe is run by the complex interweaving of three elements. Energy, matter, and enlightened self-interest.

On the way to the beach spotted a mobile phone/wallet in the road.

Stopped the car and picked it up. One the way to the police station with it when the phone rang and we managed to reunite it with the owner. She had left it on top of the car when she stopped to put the rubbish in the bin! ::)

It sounds stupid but that little act really lifted us!  redface:

It happens all the time here... There are frequent posts on the local FaceArse page showing wallets, mobile phones and car keys that have been found...   rubschin:

Years ago my wallet fell out of my pocket in a car park in Pafos... I had that sort of subconscious memory of it happening but not enough to trigger bending over and picking it up.

Later that day it was handed into the bank who called me to collect it...  cloud9:

A few years later I found a purse in Battle car park, it was damaged as it'd been run over but it had money in it so I took it to the police station.  I remember the copper rolling his eyes and we counted up the money in it (nearly £20 which was a lot then) and he took my details.  3 days later I got phoned by the owner who was so grateful it brought tears to eyes.

But seems you can't do that now, that police station is long closed and I'm told you're supposed to just take it home and advertise the find on facearse - that I don't do.  Bring back local police
Well, whatever, nevermind
