Just had an email from someone I used to work with telling me that they have sent their old starbucks pod machine to me as the pods are no longer available so they've got a decent machine to replace it. A couple of minutes or so on Google and I've found the type of pods the machine uses and a bunch of UK sites that sell a range of K-fee pods for under a fiver a box.

Do I tell them now or wait till after it has arrived and I've ordered some pods....

Decisions, decisions..  eveilgrin:

Keep it ..if the mong can't use google ..no chance with a coffee machine ..

Did I say I was going to give it back...   whistle:

Had a follow up email. Apparently he has found a new supply of pods as he has changed his mind about sending it and got the parcel back from the courier.  cussing:

Although I'm taking the lead for the family I'm only 1/6 of the liability and anyway we will win

Sporadic updates will follow, we think he'll get the pre-action letter Thursday or Friday and at 100 miles range I may feel the shock wave.  Cheeky sod tried to manoeuvre my solicitors into a meeting where we know he was going to ask for all the files there and then.  How sad that their Covid procedures say no.
Well, whatever, nevermind

I fought a legal case a while back. Cost me £3K. My solicitor told me, "I cannot tell you that you can win, but I can tell you that the other side will lose." They lost but wanted a confidentiality clause. The Quid Pro Quo was payment of my legal fees  eveilgrin:

My solicitor has indicated a higher figure but all of us are on board to go for it at an even higher figure than she said.  Hopefully he'll fold quickly and it'll be a lot less.

 Shocked:

Company I used to work for years ago routinely buggered up wages so we would end up being paid a few days late, missing bill payments.  noooo:

All good now though
