A week to be forgotten

The Man started chemo on Tuesday --- Had to have PICC line inserted which will be in for 3 months  and then started treatment at the hospital and was packed off with dispensing pump attached to his arm to carry on treatment at home for next 2 days . He woke up yesterday morning to find out  it had sprung a leak and so these chemicals had gone all over his skin , bedsheets etc. According to their blurb this is an 'emergency' so he had to go back straight away and they casually confirm that it hadn't appeared to be connected properly by them  noooo:

After the nightmare of the surgery, and the recovery from that, and then this ,the poor fella is really not in a happy place.

Added to this The Brat has just crashed her car - estimated damage £2.500  eeek:

Trying to work and deal with all the crap about our next restructure  ....just need to save £3million in our dept by March  noooo: but without paying anyone off and I just think they are trying to get people to leave by their own volition

The wedding is in a few weeks now ....being totally unable to plan for anything is frustrating but bottom line is we have ceremony and then a picnic in the garden - but no doubt there will be a monsoon on that day  noooo:

Might have to cancel our few days away in Dorset ( which I have been so looking forward to ) unless they can change the Man's treatment cycle and extend it by a week . But they are being very reluctant to commit to this - which I totally understand and appreciate the priorities - but it's just the stuff that gets you through sometimes .
noooo: jeez the world really is shitting on your parade.  All seems very unfair but you will get through it.

Whether the Brat recovers from having to walk and use public transport is another matter.   You weren't going to shell out for her folly were you?  Please say you weren't and won't.
Well, whatever, nevermind

No - it will be an insurance jobby - but might have to loan her the excess £500  as she has no money being on furloughed etc  ::)

Of course her insurance will also go up which is also what she is wailing about  ::)

But was entirely her fault - as she didn't see the bollard as she was turning right and now has to replace the 2 doors and some other work  noooo:

Been talking to Nod about his hospital trip Monday. They are doing a full array of tests, some of which he needs to be sedated for. They said he had to be picked up afterwards as he may be confused.

I suggested it would be hard to tell eveilgrin:

7. 00 a.m.  start Monday and he is spending the weekend on the bog.  He is allowed to eat: white bread, boiled eggs, white fish and liquid Bovril.

Will be keeping the car windows open noooo:

That'll be like Tom Tom lifetime free map updates

Only good for the lifetime of their promise, which turned out to not be that long (see also TiVo lifetime programme service and probably a million others examples)
