am:  recovering from yesterday

pm: went to sort out sis-in-law's second TV HDMI connection.  Total failure.  What sort of prat designs a TV for flat on the wall mounting and makes the HDMI 3 connection straight in?

A: A Panasonic prat  Banghead

now working on plan B

Cheers, going to try something else first as I think that might be too high to leave the TV flat

It's my late brother's installation which I think he subbed out and the TV has two HDMI ports that are flat and she needs to connect a Sky Box and a Blu Ray.  Simples one would think but HDMI 2 has been used to connect to the sound bar.  Which seems daft as there's an optical link output and input for each.  So one optical cable ordered.

This may become a long saga
Well, whatever, nevermind

TOSLINK to the sound bar would appear to be a solution!  Thumbs:

The other stupid side of this is how it came to be a problem.  She called me up saying Sky isn't working in the summer house and it turned out on their last visit her grandkids had disconnected the Sky in order to play a DVD and neither told her nor put it back.
