As we all know, masks do not protect us They protect other people. Only dumb Trumpites and faux libertarians deny this. Are you vaccinated? Keep wearing those masks to protect others.

I'm sure most of us can see that 99% of masks worn protect nobody... No matter if you voted for that nice Mr. Trump or Brexit... ::)

Even if they cover the nose, they don't fit, have huge gaps and most of them will be re-used multiple times... See how many are hanging over the rear-view mirror of parked cars... Plus they are an environmental catastrophe.

Mask wearing for the general public is virtue signalling and comforting those that have been terrified by the gubberment and MSM - nothing more.

Wearing the same mask you've worn for the last ten shopping trips and which still doesn't fit closely to your face protects nobody.

I'm sure most of us can see that 99% of masks worn protect nobody...  . .
That's because 99% of masks are on warehouse shelves, in transit from suppliers or in people's homes awaiting being worn

But 99% of masks actually being worn are protecting many people.
Well, whatever, nevermind

I can only speak for here (obvs.), but from my observation that is nonsense...

There is a high degree of compliance with mask wearing rules indoors...

A large %'age of wearers don't cover their noses...

Almost all 'disposable' masks have huge gaps at the sides...

And most 'disposable' masks are worn multiple times...

The vast majority of mask wearers I see aren't protecting anybody from anything...  noooo:

I presume you'll continue to wear a (properly fitted, medical grade) mask once the rules are lifted to protect society from any nast germs you might be carrying...?  rubschin:

Cheers, going to try something else first as I think that might be too high to leave the TV flat

It's my late brother's installation which I think he subbed out and the TV has two HDMI ports that are flat and she needs to connect a Sky Box and a Blu Ray.  Simples one would think but HDMI 2 has been used to connect to the sound bar.  Which seems daft as there's an optical link output and input for each.  So one optical cable ordered.

This may become a long saga

TOSLINK to the sound bar would appear to be a solution!  Thumbs:

Bit fecking odd having an HDMI coming straight out backwards tho...  rubschin:
It worked!

£4.99 for a 3 metre fiber optic cable from Amazon is just a bonkers low price.  Almost as bonkers as a Panasonic sound bar that sets the volume to zero when you change source from electric to optical.  That had me puzzled for a while.
Well, whatever, nevermind

Daftest bit was trying to reroute the previous HDMI link that went to the sound bar but now needed to go to the Blu Ray.  Went to pull it back through the wall and someone had nailed a wooden support to the other side allowing the cable to move but no way was the connector getting through  Banghead

So it works but it looks a trifle more ugly than it did

Got a new Android tellybox recently...

Both boxes 5V 2A power supply but of course (?) a different size connector at the box end...

Of course, it was oh soooo neat so two hours to get the old cable out and three weeks to threddle the new one into place...  evil:

Still, we can watch the England game on it later....  cloud9:
