Brands Hatch for a bit of a fun drive
Well that was fun.
. . .
The Safety Car is bonkers fast but twitchy, the Porsche ticked a box as I'd never driven one but was weird and I would cross the road to drive it again. But that sporty Bentley wasn't just bonkers fast it was just so easy to drive fast. I want one.

Stupid typo by me. Should have said I
wouldn't cross the road to drive a Porsche again.
For anyone contemplating one of those 3 fast car experience deals (I've done 3 now) then they do exactly what they say on the tin - you get to briefly experience but not race the cars. Think I've ticked every box on cars - haven't done an Audi but then I do like to keep my self respect (actually I believe the Audi R8/R10 is a very good car really).
They're very well run but anyone booking through Red Letter Days is just paying an unnecessary booking fee for a flash red box. The actual events are run by Everyman Racing who do it very well and cheaper if you book direct. Only criticism I'd make is the prices are kept low by excluding the vehicle insurance you'd be stupid not to take but it is another £35. Also the packages are for the base level Ferraris, Lambos etc. The more exotics cost you. That safety car was £50 extra or £10 a minute of on track time.
