Does an emergency cat sit in a box on the wall with breakable glass at the front?
Well, whatever, nevermind

Fighting the vagaries of the Mac OS on sis-in-laws Mac.  1 hour download it demands for an OS update that Apple actually already knew will not work with it  Banghead.

Then look at how much she'd need to spend to get a new Mac with same 1TB storage.   £3,669  Shocked:   noooo:

Dj that use Mac swear by them ..but all I hear is problems …. noooo:

I suppose it's very good but I'm a pc person and it does everything different.  My advice is going to be persist with it and then change to a MacBook if/when it stops working.
Well, whatever, nevermind

After years and years (forever really) using PCs I've found the change to an iMac and Macbook Air remarkably easy for everyday tasks...

...although just this week to do a 'technical' project I found the leaning curve too cumbersome and dug out an old Windows 10 laptop...  redface:

The universe is run by the complex interweaving of three elements. Energy, matter, and enlightened self-interest.

That's what I've found on this sis-in-laws Mac and when I tried using an iPad Pro instead of a Windows lap top.  For everyday things Apple is probably better and reasonably intuitive but try to fix a problem or any form of serious spreadsheet or Powerpoint and it's hopeless.
