Kingscote on the ever stunningly beautiful Kangaroo Island 
Time for a jumper joke …. 
You actually don't see too many kangaroos here but there are far more of them than people. They come out mainly at night when it is distinctly risky to drive and some the car rental companies forbid you driving after dark We first saw Kangaroos Island in 1995 and almost instantly forgot that it was expecting to see them that made us go there. It's just a brilliant scenic place slowly being changed for the worse by tourists like me who want proper roads, cell phone access etc.
I think this is our eight visit to KI, it's probably the last as this is supposed to really really be our last Oz holiday but the wow of the drive down from Adelaide for the ferry and then acoss the Island has made me think again. We spent our silver wedding anniversay here and (health permitting) our 50th might be spent here. Never spend more tha a few days and I suspect would hate to live here.
