Well . . . .  .

The Asus laptop was £1k originally, Power supply was £20 but made no difference BUT was just on the brink on ordering a new HP one when I thought try the 'battery reset' procedure one more time (third time) and it has life  ;D   This was posted from it.

But doing strange and very annoying things with the on charge/on battery pop up

It has been like The Western Front here for days - some of them mahoosive explosions - no doubt a wheelie bin or two has met an unfortunate end... ::)

Cats don't seem bothered though - dogs would have been going mental had they still been with us...  sad24:

Well I’ll see what I can do with it but it’s not looking good.  Wouldn’t touch a MacBook though, can’t do serious spreadsheets on them.

Meantime have borrowed Mrs K’s iPad to watch the football as (like Nick) couch is meeting Mr Potato here too.
