Inundated with festive offers.
« on: December 14, 2009, 09:53:52 AM »
My in-box is overflowing with emails from every on-line organisation that I have ever bought anything from. Daily they flood in, special offers, last minute deals, reminders that their New Year Sales will start before Christmas and loads of "Christmas Cards" with cutesy reminders that it is not too late to get a bargain. Leaders by a country mile are Play.com who have so far managed to send me 27 "greetings", followed by Amazon with 19. In third place come Filofax with 12 reminders that I always buy next year's diary refills about this time of the year and not to leave it too late and a special mention must go to Tenpin.com of Chester who have reminded me that Minimus had his birthday party at their premises last January 19th and offering me a special price if they could be allowed the honour of hosting next year's event ~ a bit over the top for 8 small boys bowling for a hour whilst scoffing burger, chips and cola but full marks for keeping the info and following it up to keep the customers rolling in. (He wants to have a Go-Kart party this year BTW).

Anyone else being swamped with this sort of stuff or am I alone in being a regular on-line shopper?

'Ping!' ~ Asda have put in a late bid with three consecutive emails that have just arrived and have stolen third place ....... but there is still time so it's anybody's race.

Yes I have had quite a few of those. Frankly I am a firm devotee of on-line shopping, no crowds, no parking problems, no dragging reluctant children round shops, bargains to be had without effort. All in all on-line wins hands down for me. ;D

My current contenders are Photoglossy who keep telling me the last posting date for Christmas is Dec 17th and Euroffice who have excelled themselves with the following:
