Miss D I did all of this a few years ago with three of them.  It's tough on you I know.  The up side of this, I use the term loosely, is that 'the brat' has been bought up by you and her Father, there is much to be said about the whole nurture thing.  It's a mine field with prickly hormonal teenagers.
I have always thought that the worst thing about drowning was having to call 'help!' You must look such a fool. It's put me against drowning.

Matters reached a head in a household in this village recently.
1 x 15yo in hospital with stab wounds (Serious)
1 x 73 yo neighbour in hospital with stab wounds (Not serious)
1 x 52 yo male (step-father) in custody charged with attempted murder, grievous bodily etc.

Police search of home revealed a number of "substances", "weapons" and "other material".

All started with a "You can't tell me how to run my life" type of argument.

Exactly what I told the THW last weekend.

She has been acting like a 13 year old since she was 9 ~ now that she is a month off being 17 we are wondering if she will ever grow out of it. As for her clothes  noooo:

The THW is very, very unhappy this evening.

Earlier today, whilst taking the air on the school field, she sat on a bee and it stung her fat arse.

Apparently it is all my fault

Sometimes being a father is good ~ and this is one of those times.

I used to live for these moments !!
Wouldn't change any of them now though.
I couldn't ask for better friends. I could ask for more NORMAL friends, but not better ones.

I asks MM to get a move on as she's going to be late for school.

I patiently wait and wait.
She eventually appears and casually asks me in a stroppy and impatient tone "can we get a move on please?"

I was not particulary overly impressed with her impudence tbh.

No one was actually physically hurt during the ensuing war of words btw, and I don't think any permanent lasting mental damge has been done, just in case some in here are a tad concerned and anxious about my undoubted and totally  unreasonable tendencies of 'flying off the handle into massive balls of fire'. ::)

School bus is scheduled to leave the stop (50  yards from our front door) at 0830. Sometimes it goes a couple of minutes early but as far as I am concerned it would be unreasonable to expect the driver to be tuned into the clock on the THW's MacBook.
This morning, as with most other mornings, the THW switched on her hair dryer at 0828 Banghead

Once again her mother had to drive her to school. Neither daughter nor her mother will see my point that this is simply a way of avoiding catching the bus in a deliberate attempt to ensure she gets a lift.
It makes me livid Angry9:

Simple fact is that I wouldn't stand for such behaviour from either of my two and they know it.  evil:

They know what time we set off, I also give them a "five minutes" warning call and they are always ready in time.

Having said that, in the case of THW you should check to see if there is a reason that she is loath to catch the bus, perhaps she trying to avoid a particular person or situation?

She is 17 in three weeks. 6th Form students are nominally in charge of their juniors on the bus.

The REAL truth in her own words is that:
"It is sooooooooooooooo stooopid that I can't take a driving test and have my own car ~ I am nearly 17 ~ what difference would a month make?"

Driving Test?  point: She can't even do up her seat belt without a fuss. "It's sooooo stooopid having to wear this just to go 3 miles" etc  ::)

I did offer to buy her a bike  angel1

Unc ~ she is 17, 5'10" tall and weighs in at around 11 stone. A little big to put over my knee.
So what do I do? I refuse to transport her which is why her mother does it. Put her mother over my knee? .......... noooo: That used to be fun but after 21 years ...... well you work it out.
