And they get no better as they get older!  noooo:

I think the THW is regressing to the cradle. evil:

Sad and true.
Brings a tear to my eye when I look back on pictures from just 6-16 years ago and how things used to be.

Mrs G's clone is beyond my help now.
Everything I say or do is wrong, so I have officially given up, similar to most things regarding other folk now in fact.

Why don't all the parents of teenagers fake a midlife crisis, regress to their own teenage years..i.e hair/music/attitude and watch your kids freak out!!! maybe give them a taste of their own medicine (just for laughs) and see what happens.    Could be fun!

It's better than I ever even knew.  They say that the world was built for two.  Only worth living if somebody is loving you.  Baby now you do.

Most parents manage to freak their kids out without trying.

I am apparently "Sooooooooo embarrassing" that I am not allowed to do anything other than drive the car and pay the bills.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

I put this here as I know not where else to put it.  My son will be 27 next week.  He has been in a relationship for a fair few years he has a daughter 2+ and a son who has Downs syndrome 1+ there is apparently another child on the way due May next year.

They have decided to split up.  Both seem to think things will be hunky dory.

It won't.  Son will have a lot of growing up to do when he says, 'I don't want to pay for electricity that I am not using' and CSA  bloke says they are your children you have to pay and you should have kept your willie in your pants.

DIL the money was never there for child number three but you are the mother of my grandchildren.

I am in a fury

Unfortunately Grand-parents are the last people whose opinions get considered.

You are right Snoops.

There is no point in being in a fury they will do what they want to do but the fact remains that it will be hard.  Harder for DIL than my son and given that they live in the highlands  there is not much I can do to help.

My son may well decide to walk away from his responsibilities and that will be a huge disappointment. His 18 month old son has Downs syndrome and will be a responsibility far beyond the usual age, if he lives into adulthood. noooo:

How very sad my dear, our children are such a trial for us, but apparently not theirs for them.

A slim consolation is that the Scottish social services seems to have a safety net with a much finer mesh than ours, combined with much larger coffers.
