We've got a 6 y/o, a 4? y/o and a 1 y/o here at the moment...  noooo:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe shouting "LOLIYPOP!" repeatedly while pointing at the lollipop machine is a correctly formatted request for the purchase as a gift of a lollipop from the aforementioned machine...  noooo:

Perhaps I'm old fashioned...

When confronted by such my response has always been to say "My isn't he/she clever .... to be able to tell you what the machine dispenses, shame it's so close to tea/dinner/lunch time" and then walk smartly on whilst giving the brat a playful slap round the head with whatever I happen to be carrying at the time.  eveilgrin:
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

Their mother's don't seem to like a boot but "bright little chap isn't he" accompanied by a hefty wallop to the head seems to be acceptable.

Today I am likely to be arrested by the police or taken for interviewing by Social Services

All because I informed madam she would have to go to school today as unfortunately for her the school had text to say business as normal. What followed can only be described as a monumental catastrophic disagreement .

She is now going to report me to the police for bruising her arm and for throwing her half way across the room . This of course in reality is me moving her from her doorway when she was refusing to budge by the arm. She should count herself lucky because quite frankly murder charges might have been more appropriate this morning

Do Growler's all terrain rescue services stretch to rescuing really hacked off damsels in distress ?

Point out to her that the alternative to having you as a parent is foster care and if that is what she wants then you will be more than happy to have her committed to local authority care. It worked for me eveilgrin: Sometimes you just have to all their bluff.

Suggest she advertises herself here

http://www.bemyparent.org.uk/

She would have to write a description of herself  eveilgrin:

The main problem seemed to be that none of her pondlife friends were going to go and why should she.

Everyone else's mother let's them - why does she have to suffer just because she has the worst mother in the world blah blah blah

I offered her the option of foster care and she said it would be a relief

Honestly I am an hour and a half late for work but at least I can't feel the cold, my simmering red hot lava is bubbling away

My usual reply, which I'm sure you will have deployed is:

"I am not everyone else's parent and you are not everyone else".

Isn't it funny how they all use the same arguments no matter where they come from and they never believe that we too used the same argument years ago and we lost as well.
