Well my advice MD, is to go and ASK at the local newsagent, and then you'll know for sure, instead of all this random debating shite.
She is old enough at 13, and it'll teach her some life skills. like getting up in the morning and getting out into the crap weather. eveilgrin:

She would not get a paper round in Denbighshire at 13 ~ they need to be 14 here and they have to have the written permission of their school.

Only telling you that to point out that not everywhere is the same. Each County Council (LEA) has its own rules on employment of school kids. Maybe your local area permits it at 13 but many don't.

Besides Miss D would be the one who would have to get up extra early and wake the child...... been there, done that.

Now I am aware The Brat has a BF ...though we have not discussed names or age etc. She is just constantly on the phone to him  ::)

Anyways today there was a knock at the door and there before me stood one of the local buffoons that I am aware of  eeek:

"Ello, is The Brat there " he woofs

So I call her and she then takes her call outside  evil:

5 minutes later she comes back in and I gently interrogate and ask if that is her BF. She falls around laughing and says  "God no , that is Fatboy , he is friends with so and so. You know the ones that have a cokehead for a mother and have been taken into care  because she is always off her head "

 noooo: noooo: noooo:

Unbelievably, Growler jnr's new job (that he starts next Monday) caused a major row here tonight.
We've been badgering him to ask if his 'old' job vacancy could possibly be filled by MM.
He keeps saying he's forgotton to ask, so as he was going to have to tell his dept. today that he's officially leaving them next Sunday we reminded him again last night.

As soon as MM saw him she obviously asked, only to be told that he'd "forgotton again".

Things rapidly became extremely heated and G jnr went stratospheric as he thinks we don't believe him. rubschin:
MM was virtually unconsolable. Things are tense but considerably quieter now fortunately.
He say's he's definately going to ask tomorrow.

It makes me so sad to see just how nasty these two can be towards each other, and as they get older they seem to drifting further apart. cry:

It's perfectly normal Mr G . I always worry about those siblings that are only ever nice and adoring to each other. Very weird and sinister that is  noooo:

I'm not so sure.

My bessy mate has two that are slightly older than mine, and yes, they hurl insults at each other, but it's done in a more bantereeish (is that a real werd?) manner.
They never physically fight or trade viperous abuse in anger.
