Getting back to werk after a long break

SO it's Jan 4th and we are all back at werk. I am staring at piles of work I have to start to shift again and have neither the will nor the brain to do so. I feel like doing a Reggie Perrin  surrender:

I did some werk every week in December. That's a first for me tbh. Last week is normally the quietest of the year but I was actually fairly busy, so, this is just a continuation week for me.

I'm looking at a bit of a new challenge and diversification away from my current work this year though. Motor trade are doing me swede in. Banghead

Possibly, yes. Had I already mentioned it?
Other plan as well. You need to look ahead and have contingency plans.

Was a bit tough getting up this morning to the shrill sound of the alarm clock tearing out my ear drum  noooo:

Usual crap at work

No heating - building is ffffing freezin

Computers so slow that it's lucky it hasn't gone through the window

It's Monday , It's back at work after the crimbo break, it's cold - it's what you'd expect really  Shrugs:

I have just dragged two reluctant boys from their beds and announced that "Home School Restarts Today" ~ mucho groaning.

 rubschin: Do they think I enjoy it?

Because TBQH I can think of better pleasanter things to do with my time than trying to beat the principles of working with irregular fractions/French verbs and the basics of physics into reluctant brains.  Banghead

Well I took on the task so I have to see it through but frankly I can hardly remember half of it myself and the other half I do automatically, without thinking about it, as do we all. Trying to dredge up sensible and understandable explanations as to why i should go before e except in exceptional cases and which French nouns are feminine and which masculine taxes me at times.
The trick with teaching seems to be having the ability to read the book one page faster than the pupils. ;)
