Meanwhile the Director is coming round to see 'us'  ::) more and more and it is becoming a little irratating to say the least. I am the only one that actually knows whats going on although he doesn't know that I know kind of thing.

He probably does know you know, that is why he keeps coming round. Also I would guess that more people in the office know some or all of it anyway. 'tis the way of offices.

It will end in tears.

I used to werk with a woman who was having an affair with our boss. They were both hideously ugly btw, but he was blind so didn't care. It became a kind of open secret which no one talked about.

It came unravelled when he got his wife, who did catering, to cater for some corporate event and got the GF to liaise with her!! He must have had some death wish!! She had another BF who she lived with. There was a massive punch up over the canapes  noooo:

I suspect you are right Mort.

Women think Men don't pick up on these things, but if he knows you are her good pal and he has any sense, he will know she must have told you.

We old silverbacks know about how you gerls werk y'know.

Also, you discuss things between yourselves which are orders of magnitude more intimate and detailed than chaps would ever say to each other under any circumstances, ever.  eeek:

Wot he said. These things are never secret.Behaviour, body language the lot. Most folks can spot it. My courtiship with Mrs Nick was meant to be clandestine (we worked together in a very gossipy place). When we finally got married (after 6 years) everyone we worked with sort of breathed out  redface:

Like Nick's situation, I met MrsTMRBB at work. Our relationship was concealed for a good 2 years before anyone found out - not that either of us were in a relationship to have to cover up - but we both agreed that due to our various positions within the company (no, not on the desk or over the photocopier,DS...) It would be "better" that way. No-one knew and that was PRECISELY because I didn't suddenly start making extra visits to her department and vice-versa. I still went to lunch with my brother and she still went to lunch with her friends.

Miss D, if you think it's becoming obvious, then it is - and not just to you.

Keep well out of it and cut these phone-calls out. You may think you are helping - with good intention. When it all comes out, you will be seen as a co-conspirator.

And that ain't gonna be good.

Thanks Nick.

Miss D, get yourself out of this situation sooner, rather than later. Look after No.1.

As much as it goes against the female grain of being a "confidante".  That is just a word and a position that puts you in the firing-line, ultimately.

Those that seek to share their little secrets never have your well-being at heart - you are merely an overflow pipe that they wish to flush their own shit through. They feel it cleanses them - you are left with the sewerage to deal with.

I am trying too slowly but gently .

This has been going on for over a year but things are stepping up a pace at the moment ....the risks are indeed high

Matey boy director keeps coming down ( he is based on a different floor ) and sitting down to chat all friendly like. But he is over compensating big time.

This morning he came down and was talking work stuff and how much he was doing at the moment  sleep017 . Then said how boring his wife said he had become with all his incessant talk of work all the time. He then went on to say that the poor women has once married an attractive, exciting , spontaneous, romantic bloke  noooo:. I made the mistake of asking if she had been married before then  lol:

Both these people are liars and could this put your position in jeopardy in any way.

I'd take one of two approaches, use it to your advantage or spill the beans!

Wankers!
