Worst brake lights to be behind
« on: January 14, 2010, 06:09:15 PM »
Well obviously they're essential but when you're sitting at traffic lights on stop do you really need to keep your foot on the brake pedal?  cussing:
A regular journey I take involves passing through, let me see, seven sets of lights and just my luck they were all on red  ::), made worse by the fact of the Audi in front of me whose driver sat on the brake lights at every stop.

Red hot pokers from the bottom of Beelzebub searing into my eyes  evil:, a trio of blazing red lights forming a diabolic triangle of hate  evil:; yes that array of bulbs atop the rear window as well.

Enough!  cussing:

But I have to get out from time to time  sad24:

Besides, brake lights are small beer compared to some folks woes, and a vent on here reduces the pressure  ;) . The problem with brake lights occurs when they're at eye height for the driver behind  noooo:

I think you'll find that the offending cars are automatics - rather than put the car into "Park", they (and I include myself here  redface:) simply hold it on the foot brake. If you do put it into park, you generally have to go through reverse to get to "Drive". This means that the poor sods behind suddenly see your reversing lights go on - and that can put the wind up them.

Absolute pet hate of mine too Pasties.  evil:
I've ranted about this very topic on several motoring forums, and most are in agreement. You get home virtually blinded with a banging 'ed some nights.

It's not just autos either, but the general public sheepies that are simply too bloody bone idle and thoughtless to pull that strange lever up called THE HANDBRAKE. Banghead
