O.C.D.

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
Do we have a growing problem developing here, or is this just a common every day occurence for everyone p'raps?
I can't actually take this too seriously tbh....yet. rubschin:

Mini Moose has got it apparently.
Caught her a few weeks ago re-tuning the tv volume onto an even number after I'd just randomly turned it up to drown out her and Mrs G's squawking.
It HAS to be done apparently..or else. Shrugs:

Didn't think too much about it at the time, but tonight I made tea.
Placed her plate on a tray for collection, and she picked the plate up and turned the tray 'round.
I asked why she did that, and she told me that the flower picture on the tray HAS to be facing her in the correct manner BEFORE she picks it up, or else. Shrugs:

What's going on here, or is it just a bit of a laugh?

Where does a habit finish, and OCD begin?

Like your daughter, when i put a plate or laptop on the laptray I always make sure that the tray has the picture the right way up. Similar with getting dressed, it always has to be the right trouser leg, sock, shoe on first. If I pick up the left one first, I have to put it down and get the right one. I feel that that's habit, others may say it's OCD. Or is it that we just like to give everything a name?  rubschin:

My outdoor gym, so that arguement is a non starter.
Personal targets are good for your mind and spirit anyway, idiot. ::)

It might help that ruddy great paunch of yours if you did a bit more excercise other than the one you appear to do regulary lying on yer back like.  ::)

In case you hadn't noticed, there aren't many 'ills in Wirral.

Hard to say where habit stops and OCD begins. What do we make of footballers, rugby players, cricketers etc who have a ritual that they follow during preparation before each game? Is that habit, OCD or superstition?

I always carry personal items (Wallet, keys, comb, hankie, money etc) in the same pockets. No matter what trousers I put on the hankie, keys, penknife are in the right front. Wallet and comb in back right, money and nothing else in left front. Habit or OCD? I dunno ~ I have just always done it that way.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.
