I don't think it was ever a secret ~ he was placed into care by his son as he was no longer able to look after himself. The last email I had from him said that he was pissed off with being old, being told he had to go into a home and being treated like an idiot. He also said that he could no longer see the screen to read/type and anyway "they" didn't want him to have a 'pooter any more. I am pretty sure that Kimmy will have picked up most if not all of that from his last postings over there.
