No different, but they are volunteers and dont get paid. They have the same powers as a regular officer, but their knowledge  of the law is pretty basic

That is quite obvious eh...?

Unpaid, why would anybody want to do that job then...?  rubschin:

Oh, could it be because they are worthless bullies that love to wear  a uniform?

Correct. Power freaks.

I used to have to gain entry in to houses with a warrant in my BG days.
Standing before the beak every week applying for them was more harrowing than actually breaking in tbh.

But that is the point Mr G. You had to get a warrant....

Yes I know, I was just making a comment as to how it was and should always be.
Tell you, no bastard would gain entry here without ALL the relevant documents and phone calls.
I actually believe you'd be allowed to use 'reasonable force' to protect yourself and property from such an intrusion.

R&T are next to each other on the keyboard.
You try typing accurately with fat furry paws. ::)

Any'ow, are we all in agreement that 'reasonable force' can be exercised if someone tries to bluster their way in without a warrant?
Asking for I.D and being shown some random bit of paper with a mug shot and signature on it, enclosed in a plastic wallet with a brightly colured dingly dangly, will catergorically NOT automatically entitle the bearer entry into the Bears lair. evil:
Any soft shite can knock these things up now. Trip down to the charity shop for a peaked cap and blazer, and away you go.
