No comment from Saint Bob Geldof then?

Perhaps Saint Bono would like to comment instead? Perhaps not  rubschin:

Quote
Millions of dollars earmarked for victims of the Ethiopian famine of 1984-85 went on buying weapons, according to a BBC investigation.
Former rebel leaders told the BBC that they posed as merchants in meetings with charity workers to get aid money.
They then diverted the cash to fund their attempts to overthrow the government of the time.
Documents released by the CIA confirmed aid was "almost certainly being diverted for military purposes".

No surprises there...

Never give any money to Africa - it always ends up as AK-47s, machetes or fleets of Mercedes....

Best thing (as has been suggested before) is to build a wall around the place and leave it for twenty years....

I have to admit I laughed when I heard this on the news earlier ~ wrong of me I'm sure but never the less...........
What did they expect? My consolation is that I never gave them a penny.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.
