I had a mahoosive one on my ear lobe.  The day before I was going to the doctor's to have it cut out, I put my crash helmet on and...well...you can probably guess  noooo:

My Late Mother had one on her wrist, years ago. The very old fashioned family GP we had said to her "Thump it with the family Bible".

Since he was visiting the house at the time (One of us kids had measles or summat) he told her to fetch the Bible, which was a big and very heavy brass bound thing, put her wrist on the table and brought the book down with a wallop on the cyst which disappeared and never returned.

Get someone to whack your neck with a cricket bat Growler. Modern doctors always want to send you to hospital for a junior doctor to use a knife on such things.
