MrsS#2 has Jane as her middle name.

My poor mother was to be called Helen Olive but her father got drunk and maudlin on the way to register her birth and added in "Nellie" after the "only female that never let me down". So Mum's birth cert reads Helen Olive Nellie XXXXXXX (Surname withheld by me for obvious reasons)

When questioned about "only female that never let me down" Grandfather revealed that Nellie was the name of the horse that carried him through South Africa in the 2nd Boer War.

Grandmother and Mum never forgave him

My Birth Cert only has my first name on it.

No one noticed until I re-married and they said it would have to be recorded as an AKA.

Everything has both my names on it though, NI, passport, tax etc.

I was confirmed - by a bishop.

Stumbled across a (group) photo of my First Holy Communion the other day - not sure I recognise anyone else in it.

There once was a Bishop from Birmingham
Who interfered with young boys whilst confirming them
At odd times he'd pause
Whip down their drawers
And slip the Episcopal worm to them
