They've just started replacing a gas main in Sutton High Street, work "will take 10 weeks".
Utter chaos as roads are closed and traffic diverted.

This afternoon, the gas main is on fire.

Our MP has been letting rip at EDF about the number of cuts that have been going on around here. EDF keep blaming it on third-parties that are digging up roads.

Gas main work is right by the station, so I guess that has been closed as a precaution - must be chaos.

Now looks like fire was at other end of High Street where that are doing yet more road-works.

About 300 yards from where my dad lives.

Today we have the crane in place.....they spent yesterday putting it all together.

This was a queue for many blokes in the team to stare out the window and discuss how much they'd love to operate the crane.......I think they call it regression  noooo:
