Caravans
« on: April 01, 2010, 02:58:42 PM »
Hundreds of the damned things being towed down the road outside of my window.

Every bloody holiday it's the same.  Banghead

Hope it pisses down for the entire weekend ~ B@ST@RDS! cussing:

It's Bank holiday, Irish travellers have bought the field at the end of Snoopy Lane.

There will be streets there and a metal recycling plant in operation by Tuesday.

I mostly despair

Irish Travellers give this area a wide berth. Too many bloody Scallies, nowt left worth pinching.

No this lot with the caravans are from Liverpool and surrounds. Population of Rhyl & Prestatyn just about doubles during the season but hardly a hotel or B&B in the area.

It is said that there are more static and touring caravans in this area than in the whole of the rest of GB ~ I don't quite believe that but it certainly has tens of thousands in a very small area.

Just two of the smaller caravan sites. They are the ones with white roofs.

Throw slices of bread on the roofs rooves on top late at night, they're bound to wake up to the pitter patter of tiny feet and the dawn chorus the following morning ... oh how we laughed  redface: , the joys of working on large projects where people live on site

You should see the size of the fooking seagulls around here. Bastard things can and do put a hell of a dent in your car roof.

They are a real problem: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/north_east/8184094.stm

And people will feed them  Banghead   Bloody verminous creatures. (Yes the gulls too)

Most places have problems with bin bags and foxes or cats. Our problem is the seagulls.

Indeed they attack people to try to steal  and burgers out of their hands. Horrid creatures.

I like the less populated sites thinking of taking the ferry to Cypress this year. whistle:
