Control panel
K/board settings & regional settings - change to UK, delete US (if only)
Doesn't give me that option. Just speed of cursor and stuff
Click on Regional. That should give you several options one of which will offer Keyboards & Languages. Click on that and you should get "Current Format". If that shows "US" or "Other" then change it to UK by clicking on the down arrow at the end of the box that says "US" and choose the UK option. Having got that in the box then click on "Apply" at the bottom and Robert will instantly become a close male relative.
???????...correct place!
######...correct place too!!
Nice one Snoopio, and thank you.
I discoverd that I was running both UK and US systems for some unknown reason.
Deleted US now anyway, bloody Yanks.
That's sorted , but now I'm wondering if I've created another problem.
Windows was prompting me to update some shite. Service pack 3 or summat?
Decided to go ahead, but after 20 minutes of loading its crap, it threw a wobbly and told me it couldn't complete, so press here to undo the updates so far, which I dutifully did.
10 minutes later it comes back and tells me that it couldn't undo everything it had done, and as a consequence Windows XP may no now longer run properly.
Well thank you very much Mr Microsoft or whoever. I've just spent days sorting this crock of crap out, and now you tell me you've goosed yerself for me, you utter bloody bastard.
Everything seems ok so far, but has it gubbed itself, and should I be worried like?
I HATE this wretched heap of shit.
