Bit early like but thank you all the same.

rubschin: Can we afford the glue to make it a sticky or will we have to hunt it down when the time comes?

Just had a phone call ~ My op has been advanced to May 11th.  scared2:

June 25th was a nice long time away ~ May 11th is next freakin' Tuesday!

They are dispensing with the pre-op prep clinic planned for a week in advance and tell me a "Nurse Specialist" will phone to "talk me through it" later today ...... or possibly tomorrow. I know that some of the meds have to be stopped 5 days before the op but I don't know which ones until the NS rings.

This is more than slightly worrying ~ I get the feeling they are making it up as they go.

Apparently the reason for the sudden change of date is that the Welsh Health Board have issued new targets for patients on the waiting lists and unless they fit me in during the next week they will miss the target and be fined. ........ No ~ it makes no fvcking sense to me either. noooo:

They tell me at most I'll be in overnight ~ if I survive.

Apparently the "procedure" is done under local anaesthetic and if all goes well home within 12 hours with orders to rest for two weeks and not drive for four weeks.

Look it up for yourself google Ablation Therapy.

I just don't fancy it at all ~ I am told by local nurse specialist that the procedure is "uncomfortable" ..... which in my experience translates as bloody painful and unpleasant.
