Internet went off at 1800 last night. Still off this morning. Calls to ISP revealed that they had been informed of "Routine maintenance" to be carried out at our local exchange. BT told them yesterday that this would involve a shut down of Broadband from 4am this morning until 8am.
Calls to BT from me were met with "We can't tell you anything because you are not our customer"
It seems that unless I am willing to pay over the odds for their Broadband services they couldn't give a stuff.
Finally restored at 3.15pm today ~ 4 hour maintenance took 15.5 hours
Small wonder that they are losing business hand over fist.
