Yep .... but they put a time limit on you getting the ballot boxes back to the counting centre  ::).

Not that we were rushing. There is no point - the amount of paperwork you have to complete afterwards is endless and if this is not correct you just end up spending more time at the counting centre reviewing it all.

There were 3 of us taking the ballot boxes back however and we were driven there ...handed the stuff in , paperwork in order and then try and get home.

I give it 18 months at the outside before we go through all this again. On the bright side that at least gives the Electoral Commission time to properly sort out their ballot stations.

Which is unfortunate since it is the responsibility of each individual returning officer to sort out the polling stations in their area. whistle:

Bugger the markets ~ the b@st@rds that govern the rise and fall of prices are only out for themselves. Let them take their chances like the rest of us.

My gripe is all those wasted votes being cast for the no-hopers. UKIP, Greens, Independents, BNP ,,,,, most end up forfeiting their deposits. Why do people bother?

I would support any change to the system that either prevented them from standing in the first place OR allowed a reallocation of the small number of votes they get to the other parties.

Exchange rates, interest rates.....

I have no investments earning interest. My bank pays such a pitiful amount of interest on my current account it is not worth bothering about, I have no intention of travelling abroad so will not be looking to exchange any money and lastly anything that keeps interest rates down suits me as it means I pay less interest.

Welcome to my world ~ that of the poor non-working man who was taken for all he had by (i) his first wife and (ii) a subsequent government.
