Hung parliament: Lib Dem MPs want more Tory deal detail
« on: May 10, 2010, 03:43:30 PM »
Quote from: BBC Web Shite
Lib Dem MPs want more assurances on their key priorities - such as voting reforms - from the Tories, after a three-hour meeting with Nick Clegg.

He was updating his MPs, whose support he will need for any deal, on three days of talks with the Conservatives about forming a government.

Senior Lib Dem David Laws said they had also urged him to "listen" to Labour.

FFS take whatever scraps the Tories offer you or be prepared to spend the rest of your existence in the wilderness after a minority deal with Labour and anybody else they can find falls apart within six months...

Brown has just said he will resign by the Labour Party Conference if the Lib/Dems and Labour agree a coalition and if the Lib/Dems want him out.

Cleggy clearly wants to go with the Tories but his "senior" people don't want him  to because they want PR

My sentiments exactly.

I see the stock markets clearly don't give a shit ~ now that they have guarantees about Greek debt they are happy.

The Times seems to have got to the nub of the matter.

Quite so...

I liked this comment...

Liberals shown up for what they have always been - the whores of British politics.

I look forward to the day of reckoning when they finally get exactly what is coming to them - shafted by their allies in the Labour Party just as soon as it suits them.
