Wasn't a "Ninny" an incobsequential piece in the wonderful "Take the Brain" board game? I assume some of the elders here won't remember it - it was, after all made from plastics and not carved stone or wood.

In closer inspection, the Ninny looked very like the legend that is Snakey. And about the same height, too.

Farthings ceased to be legal tender in 1960 although they stopped minting them in 1956.
The Silver Threepenny bit was last minted in 1945. They had been in circulation alongside the brass version for some years. During the last few years of the silver coin they were only issued in the West Indies.
