My lot have gone out for the day to see the MiL on the other side of the country so I have the day and evening to myself.
I have been in here, then I had a late breakfast, called round to see a friend of Mrs S#2  where I found the lady to be alone. After delivering the message and package SWMBO had charged me with I found myself invited to an  unexpected and lengthy chat over a cup of coffee ~ mainly about her husband's shortcomings.
What a sweet girl she is ~ I was forced to offer sympathy, much as I hate running a man down behind his back  whistle:
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

Who needs a map? I just follow my nose or as Mrs S#1 once so memorably put it "Your only fault as a husband was that you followed your pr*ck wherever it led you".

Couldn't argue with the woman ~ she was, as ever, right on the money.

We were having a last drink together following the Divorce Hearing.

She is sweet, softly spoken, vulnerable and much under the thumb of an arrogant Welsh b@st@rd she was silly enough to marry some years ago. I don't like him, never have. She felt the need to unburden herself of her woes ~ I was available to listen. She called me after I got home to apologise ~ I felt obliged to reassure her and invite her round for a drink. We have spent an interesting afternoon ...... learning a little more about one another. She has gone home now.
