Poor you.....time to take it easy then.

Is it likely to be bad enough for a day off work tomorrow ???????

I've already taken Monday and Tuesday as annual leave!  sad24: What a waste!

Am hoping that if I just give in to it today that tomorrow it will all be better.

On no thats a bugger - were you planning to do anything nice ????

Indulge yourself today and hopefully you can shrug it off.

Have you taken any of  the usual remedies ?

I have the snots and am producing large amounts of phlegm.  noooo:

I've had that most of the week. Feeling much better today. It lasted from Sunday to Friday.

Here's a tip ~ If you can get your GP to give you a sick note, send it into work and you will, by law, be able to claim your holiday days back and use them some other time ~ seriously "And not a lot of people know that"  whistle:

My statins were halved to 20mg a year ago but if anything the aches and pains have got worse. Sleeping is difficult as after a few hours my hips start to ache and I have to keep changing sides till it gets too much and I have to get up. Result - pain goes away but I don't always get enough sleep.

Also this winter I decided to take up the offer of the flu jab and have had the sniffles ever since.
Last winter I didn't bother and I was fine.

At the same time as getting the jab, I had a check-up and the nurse was concerned that my blood pressure was now low! Combination of drugs and now work pressure perhaps.
Asked me if I had dizzy spells - she was not amused when I said, only after 6 or 7 Youngs.  ;D

I more or less gave up the drink when I had to start on Valium ~ the mixture is not good.
Certainly alcohol does lower your BP and combined with any BP drugs (Betabockers, Ace Inhibitors, Calcium Channel Blockers etc) will take it even lower. Add valium into the mix and you start falling over (fainting) ~ as I discovered.
The thing is to find a balance that you can live with ~ and make a choice between quantity or quality of life. You cannot have both once you are on heart drugs. It has taken me 10+ years to get to a combination that keeps me upright without side effects that make life a complete misery AND every new fecking doctor I see wants to change the dosage "because of the latest recommendations from NICE" ~ I refuse all changes nowadays because I accept I cannot get better and I sure as hell am not going to let them make it worse. In my case I have made the choice between quantity or quality and decided I would rather enjoy whatever time is left to me.

Alcohol doesn't seem to be a problem, blood tests have all been ok so far. Cholesterol is ok, I was only 5.2 when I had an attack and it was 4.2 after cardiac rehab. Think it went below 4 later on so they cut back on the statins.

Very quiet in here this morning, I've mopped the bogs, emptied the ashtrays, drunk the slops and now I think I'll go back to bed  sleep017
