I have been out and about.
Visited the creamery to top up on dairy products, onto the tip to dispose of a lot of old cardboard boxes, glass and paper, thence to local farm to stock up on root veg. Took Minor with me so that Minimus could spend some time with his mother brushing up his reading skills (and Minor takes the mickey too much which starts a fight) Kindly Farmer took Minor on tour of the calves, just newly arrived from market, that he will be fattening up over the spring/summer and then to the lambing shed to watch the vet and shepherd at work. All good educational stuff you will notice.
It is a lovely day, bright blue skies, birds singing, sun shining. Still only 8deg C but no wind so very pleasant to lean on a farm gate and discourse upon local council matters with Farmer friend (he being on the council and me being its arch critic) whilst Minor was given Farmer's Wife's permission to pick some snowdrops from the hedgerow for his mother.
Life doesn't get much better
