For some reason this has given me an idea  evil:
Did they have "self checkouts"? My local B&Q does, along with the local supermarkets. Why don't we petition them for a discount at self checkouts? After all we're doing the scanning, the weighing, the totalling, paying by either cash or CC, the packing ... no staff involved. I would have thought that's worth 5% off the bill?
